A CASE OF EARLY CANCER OF GALLBLADDER ACCOMPANIED WITH ADENOMYOMATOSIS
1994
We experienced a case of early cancer of gallbladder accompanied with adenomyomatosis, in which the histological continuity with adenomyomatosis was suspected. The patient was a 74-year-old man, complaining of epigastralgia. By endoscopic retrograde cholangiography the tumor with irregular surface was found at the fundus of gallbladder. Slow injection dynamic CT showed a tumor shadow in the continuity with the gallbladder wall at the fundus enhanced by contrast medium (iopamiron). This case was diagnosed cancer of the gallbladder accompanied with adenomiomatosis. And extended cholecystectomy with regional lymphadenectomy (R2) was done. Histopathological examination of the specimen revealed adenomyomatosis, mucinous papillary adenoma, papillary adenocarcinoma (m-RAS ss) at the fundus simultaneously, so histological continuity between adeno-myomatosis and cancer of gallbladder was suspected.
