CONTRIBUIÇÕES DA MINERAÇÃO DE DADOS PARA ANÁLISE DE DESEMPENHO SOCIAL

The objective of the research is to identify the contributions of the factorial analysis, as a data mining tool, for the analysis of social performance of the companies of the cyclical consumption sector. To achieve the purpose, we performed a descriptive, archival and quantitative research. As population, we delimited company in the consumer cyclic sector due representativeness in economy, therefore, the final sample is represented by 43 companies. To analyze the social performance, we used the indicators derived from the Value-Added Statement (VAS). We concluded that for 2009 the selected factors were Employees/Workers Spending and Tax Spending. For 2010 and 2011, the factors were Quotient of Value Added, Variation in Gross Added Value and Variation in Total Gross Value Added.
