Comparative study on effect of transurethral enucleation of prostate and transurethral resection of prostate in the treatment of elderly patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia

Objective To compare the curative effect of transurethral enucleation of prostate and transurethral resection of prostate(TURP) in the treatment of elderly patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH). Methods One hundred and ten elderly patients with BPH were selected, they were divided into the observation group and control group according to the different ways of operation, with 55 cases in each group. The observation group received transurethral enucleation of prostate, and the control group received TURP, the treatment effect of the two groups were compared. Results Intraoperative rinses hemoglobin, operation time, bladder douche time, time of inurethral catheter of observation group were significantly shorter than those of control group, but the short-term urinary incontinence incidence in observation group was obviously higher than that in control group; The incidence of capsular perforation, bladder irritation, postoperative urinary tube again rate of observation group were significantly lower than those of control group, the differences were significant (P 0.05). Conclusions Transurethral enucleation of prostate has an exact effect, and be worthy of clinical popularization and application.
