This paper proposes a business plan for the creation of a company that offers a smart card for tourists, which will have every attraction in the city of Quito, clustered. The main objective with this paper is to determine the financial and commercial viability of undertaking this proposed business. The business idea arose from wanting to implement a service that will go alongside technology to facilitate tourism in Quito. Nowadays, agencies and tour operators only offer travel packages to visit the main attractions in the city of Quito. The company, wishes to consolidate all the payed attractions into one smart card, in which the consumer will also find discounts, and a prepaid amount of money he or she can use in a transportation service. It was necessary to carry out a market research, which involved qualitative and quantitative methods, in order to get a better understanding of the market. With this research, the price, the distribution channel and the intent of purchase of the potential customer were determined. It is important to mention that, because this is a new company, the marketing strategies need to be carried out in an efficient manner. The capital needed to start the business is USD 79.230, 40% will be funded by investor contributions and the remaining 60% will be funded by a bank loan. A financial plan was elaborated, and it determined that the business was viable and attractive for investors because it has a positive net present value, and the internal rate of return is above the opportunity cost for the investor.
