A comparative analysis of the dynamics of alternatives for controlling NOx

A study was made of two alternatives for controlling the NO x content within the framework of a multivariable automatic control system for combustion ; here, the flowrate of the secondary air in the upper tier of burners was varied, and the fuel rate was redistributed between the tiers of burners. The boiler studied was a PK-24 once-through pulverized-coal-fired unit.
