Limitaciones de los métodos objetivos de la medición de la calidad de video de acuerdo a la norma H.264

This article discusses the limitations of objective methods for measuring the video quality by reference to the H264 standard. The analysis looks at the relationship between subjective and objective methods as well as the syntax, semantics, the processes and the recommendations contained in the H264 standard. The inter prediction process associated with the derivation process for neighbouring macroblocks, blocks and partition regarding the adjectives of the macroblocks in decoding is one of the areas of analysis of this study, also considering the limitations of this process to define, measure and improve the quality of output parameters as of the standard. Likewise the decoding process is particularly studied considering input elements (NAL units) and decoded samples of the processed image as the output product.
