The invention discloses a method for refining 2-chloro-5-chloromethylthiazole in a melt crystallization mode and a melt crystallization device used for the same, and relates to the technical field of purification of 2-chloro-5-chloromethylthiazole. The method includes the following steps of crystal growing, wherein the temperature is reduced to 10 DEG C to 25 DEG C, raw 2-chloro-5-chloromethylthiazole liquid at the temperature of 35 DEG C to 47 DEG C is led, a crystal layer grows for 1.5-2.5 h and then grows for 2.5-5 h at the temperature reducing speed of 2-4 DEG C per hour, the temperature is kept, standing is carried out for 15-25 minutes, and then the raw 2-chloro-5-chloromethylthiazole liquid which is not crystallized is discharged; sweating, wherein the temperature is increased at the temperature increasing speed of 2-4 DEG C per hour, the crystal layer is melted, the sweating finish temperature is 28-30 DEG C, and sweating liquid is discharged; melting, wherein the crystal layer is completely melted, and the high-purity 2-chloro-5-chloromethylthiazole is collected. According to the method, the technology is simple, operation cost is low, the three kinds of waste are not generated, the purity of the product is high, and the yield is high; the device is simple in structure and low in cost.
