Equilibrium state of a rotating plasma in a mirror system

Under certain conditions in a discharge in crossed electric and magnetic fields, a plasma with a density napprox.10/sup 13/ cm/sup -3/ goes into rotation at a velocity vapprox.5 x 10/sup 7/ cm/sec for several milliseconds. The discharge current is governed by the mechanism for charge exchange of plasma ions in the gas.
