In our anatomical description of the innervation of the supraclavicular region, we cannot neglect to make some mention, however brief, of the cervical plexus. The superior cervical somatic nerves, in fact, in addition to numbering among the terminal nerves as important a nerve as the phrenic nerve, have numerous anastomoses and imbrications sharing territorial competence with the brachial plexus.
