We have examined 60 patients with chronic viral hepatitis С at the age from 18 to 67. All patients underwent clinical, laboratory, ultrasound, morphological examinations. We have determined biometrical indexes of the liver depending on the stage of chronic process and the degree of clinical and laboratory activity. We have determined two types of echographic changes of the liver parenchyma according to the findings of the ultrasound examination: with fine granulation, moderate granulation, diffuse heterogeneity due to the areas of focal increase and decrease of echo signal. The marked changes due to fibrosis were observed at the presence of hyper echogenic with uneven contours cords along the portal vein and its branches. Correlation between moderate strength and the level of activity and biometric indexes have been revealed.
