RESEARCHES THE CAUSES OF GAS-AIR PETROLEUM PRODUCTS MIXTURE IGNITION AT DIESEL FUEL FILLING TANKS

2013
There are many cases of ignition and explosion during operations fi lling and draining of oil in tanks and trucks, in particular diesel fuel and gasoline. Most often, infl ammation of oil is due to static electricity, even with an intact ground system processing equipment and tanks. The work was carried out chromatographic and spectroscopic studies to determine the fractional composition of the oil, investigated the presence of various types of additives to diesel fuel, analyzed volatile impurities to the fuel and its major components. That the presence of even a small amount of volatile fractions in the test tank increases the likelihood of ignition and requires the determination of the concentration of volatile petroleum products. The dependence of the degree of electrifi cation, and the probability of ignition of fi ll rates at various temperatures of petroleum products.
