A reaction-based fluorescent sensor for detection of cyanide in aqueous media

Abstract A simple boronic acid derivative was utilized as a reaction-based receptor for CN − in aqueous solution. The receptor showed a selective and sensitive response to CN − over other various anions via nucleophilic addition of CN − to the imine moiety of the boronic-based receptor.
