Metal carbonyl complexes of the trindenyl ligand: crystal structure of trans-[Re(CO)3]3(trindenyl)

Dihydro-1H-trindene (TdH 3 ) was deprotonated with KH and combined with Mn(CO) 3 (NC 5 H 5 ) 2 Br yielding the trimetallic complex trans-[Mn(CO) 3 ] 3 (Td). The rhenium analogue trans-[Re(CO) 3 ] 3 (Td) was prepared by a similar procedure utilizing [Re(CO) 3 − (THF) Br] 2 as the Re(CO) 3 source. The crystal structure of trans-[Re(CO) 3 ] 3 (Td) has been determined
