Assessment of seawater intrusion disaster risk in Laizhou Bay

Laizhou Bay is the most serious region suffering from the geo-hazard of the seawater intrusion in China.Based on the theory of the nature hazard risk assessment and the actual situation in the Laizhou Bay,the seawater intrusion risk assessment were divided into: hazard assessment,vulnerability assessment and disaster prevention and reduction capability assessment in this paper.Using GIS spatial analysis method,the superposition analysis of the hazard,vulnerability and disaster prevention and reduction capacity assessments was carried out and the Laizhou Bay area was classified into 5 seawater intrusion zones:low risk,slight low risk,medium risk,slight high risk and high risk zones.
