“Vapoconductivity”. Sorption of Organic Vapors Causes Large Increases in the Conductivity of a Dendrimer

Dendrimers peripherally modified with oligothiophene cation radicals were prepared. The electrical conductivity of thin films showed rapid, dramatic (up to 800×), and reversible increases in conductivity when exposed to certain organic vapors.
