The invention discloses a ferrite catalyst, a preparation method and application thereof. The catalyst has a general formula shown as the following, wherein A is an Mg atom, a Zn atom or a mixture of the two atoms in any ratio, D is one or more of Ni atom, Co atom, W atom, Mn atom, Ca atom, Mo atom and V atom, Z is a catalyst carrier, and is one or more of calcium phosphate, monocalcium phosphate, aluminum phosphate, aluminum dihydrogen phosphate, iron phosphate, magnesium phosphate, zinc phosphate, magnesium-aluminum hydrotalcite, calcium carbonate, and magnesium carbonate, a ranges from 0.01 to 0.6, b ranges from 0 to 0.30, c is a number meeting all atomic valence states, x and y represent a main catalyst and the amount of a carrier Z, and y and x are in a weight ratio of 0.5:1-7:1. x(FeAaDbOc)/yZ.
