Etude des transformations polymorphiques de la sulfaguanidine au cours de la compression

1980
Resume The initial (a) and compressed (b) sulfaguanidine monohydrate show different curves between 70 and 140°C in thermogravimetry, differential thermal analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. Water loss is the same but dehydration kinetics 0.362 mg min −1 (a) 0.425 mg min −1 (b) and enthalpies 12,36 ± 0,54 kcal mole −1 (a), 13.13 ± 0.35 kcal mole −1 (b) differ. Modifications in the bonds between water and sulfaguanidine molecules appear after compression. Infrared spectra obtained only by the samples show differences especially in the area 3200–3500 cm −1 , permitting sulfaguanidine's polymorphic identification.
