The invention provides a top emission organic electroluminescent display (OELD) with improved light output. The top emission (OELD) comprises a substrate, a cathode, an electronic transmission layer, a luminous layer, a hole transport layer and an anode, wherein a certain number of spherical crown-shaped bulges which have a certain size and are tightly arranged are formed on the surface of the substrate, and the spherical crown-shaped bulges have the chord length L of 2 to 5 mu m and the height H of 1 to 3 mu m. By the structure, the light extraction efficiency of the device can be improved, so that the quality of the device is improved.
