The invention discloses a preparation method for producing electronic-grade rare earth red lead by using lead plaster of waste lead-acid storage batteries and relates to the technical field of red lead preparation. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: firstly conducting desulphurization to the lead plaster (mainly containing lead sulfate and a small quantity of additives such as steel) which is recovered from the waste lead-acid storage batteries to obtain lead carbonate, using acid to dissolve the lead carbonate, conducting purification, conducting co-precipitation reaction together with rare earth elements to mainly solve the problem of material unevenness, and finally drying and roasting the sediment to obtain the rare earth red lead product. Since the lead plaster is used as raw materials, pollution caused by fire smelting is reduced at the same time, the project is an environmental-friendly project capable of realizing energy saving, emission reduction and cyclic resource utilization, wet-process pretreatment is conducted before rare earth is added and the rare earth red lead is prepared through a new technology of fire roasting to add the rare earth elements into red lead, the chemical activity of a reaction interface can be improved, the formation time is shortened and the service life of the storage batteries is prolonged.
