Statistical MWE-aware parsing

This chapter aims at presenting different strategies that have been designed to in- corporate multiword expression (MWE) identification in the process of syntactic parsing using statistical approaches. We discuss MWE representation in treebanks, pipeline and joint orchestrations, the integration of external lexicons and the evalu- ation of MWE-aware parsers, concluding with our suggestions for future research.
