Abnormal sound inspection method for vehicle

Disclosed is an abnormal sound inspection method for vehicle, wherein an audio device on-board a vehicle targeted for inspection plays back an inspection sound (ST11); this playback sound is recorded by a microphone (ST12, sound recording step); frequency analysis of the recorded sound is performed (ST13, frequency analysis step); surface area is calculated on the basis of the relative difference between the waveform of the recorded sound and a reference waveform for comparison (ST 14, surface area calculation step); and the calculated surface area is compared to an assessment surface area, to make a pass or fail assessment (ST 15, pass/fail assessment step).
