Phosphate supplements in experimental fractures

1968
Abstract 1. 1. Rats fed a high-phosphorus diet showed no statistically significant differences in tensile strength of standardized fibula fractures when compared to controls at similar time intervals after fracture. 2. 2. Preliminary histochemical studies showed more rapid maturation of fracture callus to compact bone in the group fed a high-phosphorus diet.
