Fire detector with man-machine interface as well as methods for controlling the fire detector

2012
Fire detectors are used in private facilities, public areas or industrial environments to detect a fire in an environment early and to issue an alarm. To ensure the functionality of the fire alarm, it must be installed uncovered and at a distance from objects in the area. A fire detector with extended functionality is proposed, with a fire sensor device 3 for detecting a fire and for outputting a fire signal, with an environmental sensor device 7, 8 for detecting bodies K in the vicinity of the fire detector 1 and for outputting an ambient signal, with a control device 4 which sets a normal state and an alarm state of the fire detector 1 as a function of the fire signal, wherein the fire detector 1 is designed as a man-machine interface and the control device 4 checks whether the environment signal is to be regarded as a user input.
