The state of cleanless of automotive diesel engines is good,with deposit buildup on the piston and in the circumferential grooves being negligible.The two-year lubricating oil testing programm was free from engine failures and also did not show any deterioration of engine performance characteristics which were attributable to the MD 303 test oil.From an analysis of used oil and oil filters tests done as part of the practical testing programm it is apparent that the engine oil and oil filter change intervals specified for performance level CC types of engine oil can also be recommended for the MD 303 candidate oil.
