Respostas fisiológicas em ratos wistar submetidos ao estresse térmico durante treinamento aeróbio de natação

2008
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the physiological variations of the training (swimming exercise) in cold water performed by rats. Adult male Wistar rats (120 days of age) were separeted into 3 groups: sedentary control (SC); trained in the cold water (TCW) and trained in the warmed water (TWW). The group TWW was submitted to 5 weeks of training, 5 days/week, 50 min/day in the temperature of 31 ± 1 °C. The group TCW performed the same protocol of training, but the water’s temperature was 24 ± 1 °C. ANOVA twoway, followed by Bonferroni “posthoc” test, were used to determination of statistical differences between groups (p<0.05). After the sacrifice, some physiological variables were analyzed and we realized that the physical training of swimming in cold water showed be a stress factor, promoting important alterations in the evaluated physiological parameters.
