This study investigated excavation and research performance of Bronze Age relics in Lianan Area. According to investigations and studies so far, Bronze Age cultures in Lianan Area 4-stage development process. The 1 st stage is the 1 st Shuangtuozi Culture and the key times were around 20 th century B.C. Around the 18th century, it turned into the 2nd Shuangtuozi Culture. Until the 14 th ~11 th century B.C., the 3 rd Shuangtuozi Culture which had strong aboriginal tradition was sustained. There is agreement of opinions regarding 3-stage development process and dating in academic circles in China. There are, however, various different opinions regarding setting the types of 4-stage Shuangtuozi Culture, dating, and cultural properties, including dating the oldest year of the 1 st Shuangtuozi Culture. This study focuses on the origin of stone-pile tombs which were the major tomb type in Bronze Age in Lianan Area, dating the oldest year of the stone-pile tombs, and the relation with dolmen that became popular after the 3 rd Shuangtuozi Culture. As you noted, there are various interpretations on the origin, emergence background, and dating the oldest year. In particular, there is no agreed perspective regarding dating of the oldest year of dolmen yet, but there is no discrepancy in the aspect that dolmen is a tomb style that was universally adopted nationwide in Korean peninsula and Laodong peninsular in the era of Shuangtuozi Culture. According to the recent research results, in some dolmens which could be assumed to be in relatively early period, some relics were found and they were suspected to be belong to the 2 nd Shuangtuozi Culture. It is noteworthy that some dolmens had similar structure and building methods to those of stone-pile tombs in the 3 rd Shuangtuozi Culture. That is, it was found that dolmens in Laodong peninsular were emerged and developed with close relation to Shuangtuozi Culture and stone-pile tombs. In sum, the development process of Shuangtuozi Culture had great influence on the emergence and building background of dolmens. This approach can be used for an archeological analysis on Gojoseon Kingdom.
