The invention discloses a hardware implementation system compatible with multi-rate fiber channel services, and relates to multi-rate services in storage area networks. The hardware implementation system compatible with the multi-rate fiber channel services comprises a 2G fiber channel processing physical layer chip, a storage area network processing chip, a clock output module, a cross chip and at least one system file protection (SFP) module used for receiving and sending multi-rate data. The cross chip is connected with the other chips. Each SFP module receives the fiber channel services. The fiber channel services are input to the cross chip after converted in the SFP modules in a photovoltaic mode. Meanwhile, the clock output chip outputs various clocks to the cross chip. The cross chip selects to receive the clock corresponding to each service and outputs the clock to the storage area network processing chip or the 2G fiber channel processing physical layer chip. The hardware implementation system compatible with multi-rate fiber channel services can meet the requirements for high containment and processing of various services in the storage area networks (SAN) from the perspective of hardware, development cost and production cost are reduced, frequent replacement of optical modules is not required aiming at various fiber channel services with various rates, and the hardware implementation system is easy to control.
