The Exchange Tne Media Had a Message

That lengthy exchange of information about the peace symbol which filled this column last summer prompted several readers to send ad ditional information. Lynn S. Barron, assistant reference librarian at the University of South Carolina, had been asked about the symbol in the summer of 1970 when the South Carolina Baptists and the American Opinion article were stirring up interest in the symbol in her area. A friend mentioned that the sign had been discussed briefly on the "Today" show, so Mrs. Barron asked NBC for a transcript. They sent it to her and she sent it to "The Ex change."
