Technologies for detection of HRPs in wastewater

2020
Abstract Various trace pollutants are collected into the wastewater, which makes the wastewater a point source of environmental pollution that cannot be ignored. Many of these pollutants are high-risk pollutants (HRPs), including heavy metals, organic pollutants, and biological pollutants. The health risks induced by these pollutants raise widespread concerns. The precondition of accurately evaluating these health risks is to precisely analyze the types and concentrations of these pollutants in wastewater. This chapter introduces the basic principle, operation process, and advantages and disadvantages of the detection methods for the HRPs in wastewater.
