Vertical Rule of Woody Plants Diversity of Forest Communities in Wuyishan Nature Reserve of Jiangxi

2009
Based of investigation and research on 14 plots with an interval of 100m along the altitudinal gradient from 550 to 2 000m, the structural characteristics of forest communities, woody plants diversity and the relations along altitude gradient on northwest slope of the peak of Wuyishan Nature Reserve-Huanggang mountain in Jiangxi province of China have been studied in this paper. 215 woody plants species belong to 57 families and 108 genera have been recorded, among which 149 species of trees from 43 families and 80 genera. According to their life type, 85 species of trees are evergreen broadleaved, 59 were deciduous broadleaved and 5 were coniferous. Research results showed that: ①evergreen broad- 1eaved forest generally distributed below 1300m, mixed coniferous and deciduous forest distributed at 1 400 ~1 900m, and subalpine coniferous forest distributed above 1 800m. ②The patterns of woody plants for tree, shrub layers were described by indices of species richness, α diversity and β diversity, species richness indices of woody plants, Shannon-wiener index, Pielou evenness index showed significantly negative correlations with altitude. Cody index declined with increasing altitude, Jaccard index was no significant pattern along the elevation gradient.
