An Improved Procedure for the Synthesis of Prostaglandin Analogues

Abstract Hydrozirconation-iodination of a terminal acetylene followed by lithium-iodide exchange and finally dilithio cyanocuprate mediated conjugate addition to an appropriate cyclopentenone is reported as an efficient method for the synthesis of prostaglandin analogues.
