The role of space fluctuations in kinetics of recombination of charged particles

The process of aggregation of charged particles generated by the external source and subsequent kinetics of their recombination after switching off an external source (reaction A+B→0) was studied. It was shown that the three-dimensional Coulomb interaction suppresses the aggregation of particles and the concentration decay after switching off the source corresponds to the law of formal kinetics t−1. In two dimension the Coulomb interaction is sufficiently weak and it is unable to suppress completely the aggregation of particles. The concentration law after switching off the source is t−1/3. This analytical result was confirmed by numerical simulation.
