Influence of the permanent magnetic field on the phase transition temperatures of pbhfo3

1981
Abstract Influence of the permanent magnetic field H on the Phase transition temperatures T c 1 = 165°C and T u c = 215°C of PbHfO3 has been investigated. It was shown that the magnetic field of H = 10 KOe lowers the T:l c by 11°C and T c 1 by 16°C. As it had been discovered earlier by two of the authors of the present work, a negative displacement of the T c(ΔTc H < 0) is a fundamental property of antiferroelectrics (AFE), and therefore, the results obtained unambiguously indicate that in the PbHfO3 the phase transitions: AFE → AFE II → PE take place. These results are in agreement with the known dielectric and structural data.
