Environmental cleaning material

PURPOSE: To obtain an environment cleaning material with which cleaning of water and improvement of environment for quality of water can be performed for a long period by a solid material having alkali releasability and a charcoal being filled under a mixed, a layer-like or another arranged condition in a water permeably container. CONSTITUTION: The environment cleaning material A is constituted by filling a solid material 3 having alkali releasability and a charcoal 2 under a mixed, a layer-like or other arranged condition in a water permeable frame 4, bag or container. When the cleaning material is positioned at a water quality environment of such as a sea, a port, a bay or a river, or a water discharging part such as a waste water treating facility, a cleaning tank, a precipitation device for a sludge, etc., especially a deep part of a port, a surrounding of an artificial island, shores of a lake and a pond, a seashore, a dam, etc., where water easily tends to stand and contamination easily tends to be generated, the stained water is brought into contact with the solid material 3 and the charcoal 2 and is purified and furthermore, cleaning is promoted by useful microorganisms and small animals which live and proliferate on the surface of the solid material 3 and the charcoal 2.
