Method and device for synchronizing content

The embodiment of the invention provides a method for synchronizing the content, and relates to the field of communication. A synchronous server can be used for initiating content synchronizing, thus the load of terminal equipment is reduced, and the processing efficiency is increased. The method comprises the following steps that: the synchronous server determines the terminal equipment which requires content synchronizing; the synchronous server determines the unique identification of the terminal equipment which requires content synchronizing and the unique identification of synchronous application; the synchronous server sends the synchronous information to a push server, wherein the synchronous information includes the unique identification of the terminal equipment which requires content synchronizing, the unique identification of synchronous application, command words and the satellite information, the command words are used for indicating the synchronous operation which needs to the executed by the terminal equipment which requires content synchronizing, and the satellite information includes parameters which are required for completing the content synchronizing. The embodiment of the invention further discloses a corresponding device.
