Computerized static perimetry

1996
: Computerized perimetry, combining a previously existing examination technique with computer technology, has become the state of the act for visual field evaluation. There are described the conceptual basis and methodology of the examination, with special references about technical characteristics available for the clinicians. As a result of computerized perimetry, the visual field can be scrutinized analysed, interpreted, discovered and understood to a degree not previously possible, but the findings of testing must be treated critically in the light of reliability parameters and of the error possibilities.
