Tunable UV Source Based on Tripled Cr:LiSAF

The performance of a solid state, tunable uv source generated through the nonlinear frequency conversion of a flashlamp-pumped, Q-switched Cr3+:LiSAF laser is described. A uv tuning range from 260 nm to 320 nm is demonstrated.
