Spinning process of cellular photocatalyst fiber/cotton blended yarns and properties thereof

In order to design a kind of high quality cellular photocatalyst fiber/cotton blended yarns,the pretreatment of the cellular photocatalyst fiber was performed by increasing the ambient humidity and using antistatic agent.And then six groups of cellular photocatalyst fiber/cotton blended yarns with different blending ratios were produced.The tensile strength,breaking elongation,hairiness index,yarn evenness,etc.of each group of the yarns were tested and the effect of blending ratio on the yarn quality was analyzed so as to investigate the optimized blending ratio.The results indicated that increasing the photocatalyst fiber content increases the tensile strength and breaking elongation of the yarns.However,when the photocatalyst fiber content is over 35%,the tensile strength drops while the breaking elongation continues to go upward;and yarn evenness and hairiness index first decrease and then increase.
