Ascoferiose (Ascosphaera apis):Causas predisponentes, medidas de controle e prevenção

Although chalkbrood was described in the beginning of the XX century, only in the 70‘s and 80‘s it was widespread extended. In Brazil, chalkbrood was first described in 1997, in Sao Paulo State. This paper is a review of the etiopathogeny, epidemiology, control and prevention of this disease.
