핑크 중륜계 호접란 신품종 ‘스노우 핑크’ 육성

2016
A cultivar ‘Snow Pink’ of Phalaenopsis was developed by crossing P. amabilis and P. ‘Happy Valentine’ and by continuous line selecting from 2007 to 2009 at the Flower Research Institute, Gyeongnam ARES, Korea. Performance trials for this cultivar were carried out three times from 2007 to 2009. ‘Snow Pink’ exhibits light pink color and favorable flower shape. The upper half of flower petals is light pink whereas the lower half of petals has white background color. This contrast of two petal color pattern may attract flower consumer. Individual flowers are formed with parallel arrangement and have long life span of more than 55 days. ‘Snow Pink’ (Grant No. 3232) was registered to the Korea Seed and Variety Service (KSVS) for commercialization in 2011 for the cultivation under greenhouse conditions in Korea.
