Influence of isopropyl alcohol concentration in urea solution on cloud point and solid point of dewaxed product
1987
The authors investigated the influence of isopropyl alcohol concentration in the urea solution on the gap between the cloud and solid points of the dewaxed oil in experiments on solutions of n-paraffins in a diesel fuel cut from Baku crudes. The quantity of n-paraffins remaining in the dewaxed product was determined by the adduct-formation method. The washed adduct was decomposed and the mixture of n-paraffins thus recovered was analyzed chromatographically. The results demonstrated the link between the completeness of extraction of high-molecular-weight n-paraffins from solution in fuels and the lowering of the cloud point.
