Supressão do apetite induzida pelo exercício físico

2020
Objective: To discuss the mechanisms by physical exercise can modulate the production of Interleukin-6, blood lactate, autonomic nervous system, redistribution of blood flow, gastric motility and body temperature inducing appetite suppression. Results and Discussion: Physical exercise, when performed in high intensity seems to modulate hormones concentrations, which are involved in the food intake control, such as, increasing the production of anorexigenic peptides and decreasing the production of orexigenic, such as Acylated Ghrelin. In addition, the importance of hormonal concentrations in the food intake control, other secondary factors, such as, redistribution of blood flow, increased of lactate and Interleukin-6 levels, predominance of sympathetic nervous system over parasympathetic, changes in gastric motility and glucose and insulin levels in the blood are factors that have direct influence of the physical exercise and can induced changes in the hormonal response and suppression of appetite. However, it is not fully understood at the literature the mechanisms by physical exercise affects these secondary factors, leading to the food intake suppression. Conclusion: Suppression of appetite seems to be influenced by physical exercise intensity, in which these effects can be influenced to the increased inflammatory and metabolic response.
