Polyformaldehyde compound POM-TPU-beta-CD with high thermal stability and preparation method thereof

The invention discloses a polyformaldehyde compound POM-TPU-beta-CD with high thermal stability and a preparation method thereof. POM-TPU-beta-CD is a blend of polyformaldehyde, polyurethane and cyclodextrin. The method includes: adding dried polyformaldehyde, polyurethane and cyclodextrin into melting mixing equipment according to a mass ratio of 100:1-16:0.5-2, carrying out melting mixing at 180-200DEG C, performing discharging, conducting cooling to normal temperature and carrying out crystallization. According to the invention, TPU and cyclodextrin are innovatively used as the additive to modify POM successfully. The compound has the advantages that: (1) the degradation temperature of TPU itself is low, by increasing its adding amount, the heat-resistant temperature of polyformaldehyde cannot be further enhanced, but after adding cyclodextrin, the thermal stability is greatly improved; and (2) while guaranteeing certain strength, the polyformaldehyde compound has substantially improved elongation at break, thus meeting practical demands.
