Retrocaval Ureter: Report of a Case and Short Review of the Literature

1969
A case of retrocaval ureter is presented. The anomaly was corrected by division, transposition and re-anastomosis of the ureter. The early result was good. In the light of reports in the literature and observations in this case, the diagnosis and treatment of retrocaval ureter are discussed. Special attention is given to the question whether the ureter or the inferior vena cava should be divided and transposed.
