Espacialización y análisis del proceso de ocupación de unidades territoriales residenciales en la circunscripción IV, Río Gallegos

The present paper aimed to recognize and spatialize the Residential Territorial Units of Circumscription IV - Section B and C of the Third Residential Band of the city of Rio Gallegos, province of Santa Cruz, Argentina. The methodology that supported the research included field trips, collection and reading of scientific bibliography, ordinance survey, cartography, aerial photographs and satellite images. The collected information was processed through a Geographic Information System (GIS), and RTUs were identified, nine in Section B and six in Section C. The results will contribute to the zoning of land use by the Municipality of the city of Rio Gallegos.
