The results indicated that increasing the concentrations of Mn(superscript 2+), Cu(superscript 2+) or Zn(superscript 2+) in nutrient solutions respectively could enhance the SOD activity and reduce the electrolytic leakage in cucumber seedling leaves, in the sequence of their functions was Mn(superscript 2+) ＞ Cu(superscript 2+) ＞ Zn(superscript 2+).
