Efficient synthesis of imidazopyridodiazepines from peri annulation in imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine

Abstract In 3-amino imidazopyridines, complete C(5) regiospecificity yielded corresponding TIBO-like derivatives (±)- 3a , 6a and (±)- 8a – c . The structures of these polycyclic compounds containing the azaindole moiety were determined by 1D and 2D NMR, and by X-ray crystallography.
