Radionuclide Contamination of Karaganda Oblast Territory within the Semipalatinsk Test Site

Only 7% of the former Semipalatinsk Test Site (STS) total area is located in Karaganda Obast. Before the present study was conducted this small area was least studied from the radiological standpoint. It is known that the radioactive contamination of the test site territory was primary caused by atmospheric tests.
