The Research Progress of Inhibitory Member of the ASPP Family

2007
iASPP is called inhibitory member of the ASPP family and encoded by PPP1R13L in humans. The function of iASPP is opposite to ASPP1 and ASPP2.It has specific inhibition on apoptosis-promoting function and wile-type p53 induced gene transcription and activation, which often result in tumor genesis.iASPP expression is upregulated in human breast carcinomas and acute leukemia, which suggests that iASPP is oncogene in human tumors. This article reviews the current research progress of iASPP.
