A Checklist of the Histeridae (Coleoptera: Histeroidea) of Iran

Abstract The fauna of Iranian Histeridae (Coleoptera: Histeroidea) is summarized. In total, 127 species and subspecies from 37 genera and six subfamilies are reported from Iran: Abraeinae (eight species, four genera), Dendrophilinae (nine species, seven genera), Haeteriinae (three species, two genera), Histerinae (34 species, nine genera), Saprininae (71 species, 13 genera), and Tribalinae (two species, two genera). New country records are reported for Dendrophilus (Dendrophilus) punctatus championi Lewis, 1886 and Margarinotus (Paralister) carbonarius carbonarius (Hoffmann, 1803).
